Well we had a few restless nights due to Clydes tummy not feeling so well. I continued to give him yogurt and hamburger & rice to which resulted in calming down that upset tummy. Clyde has done well with getting up and adapting to how the legs are feeling. I think he is doing very well and today we had a poop, Yeah! I finally went to the Dr's myself to find out i had strep and bronchitas, so antibiotics for me now. I can already start to feel the difference. The irritations on his rod leg seem to be healing since they shortened the rod and moved the pin.
Clyde is so good with our routine after potty, he lifts his leg while laying down so mom can clean and dry and put desitin to prevent chaffing. We made an appointment for Nov 4th which will be the 12th week, and they will remove the rest of the rod. Today we will change the bandage on the splint leg which no longer has the splint, but the bandage will give him support still.
We always have at least 3 pack rat sales here at the house, but decided not to do one this Columbus Day. My kindergarden teacher contacted me to donate some items for our sale in the spring to help with Clydes surgery bills. People never cease to amaze me with the generosity being put forth to us. Our spaghetti supper is coming up Oct 25th 12-5 pm and I believe we will have a great turn out. I look forward to the weeks ahead and getting Clyde to the point of swim therapy which will help those muscles get strong again.
Clyde, Molly and I send our love and thanks to everyone....God Bless!
