Clydes night

Well my boy slept very well, almost to the point i was concerned. He had not gone poop since wednesday at noon time, but yet had gone pee many times during the day and also ate and drank well. I as a doting mom took his temp, normal and he was almost comatose in sleep. I always compare how molly feels when i think he is too hot or his nose is too dry. I finally said that he had 2 rough days with the exam for the hernia, and his bandage change and just needed the rest he so deserved.

I woke up at 4:30 and gave Clyde and Molly their breakfast, and than Clyde got his antibiotics, and off to sleep he went until about 7:oo Am. He woke with those big brown eyes so bright & cheery and i just new it was to be the start of a great day. 8:oo Am came and Clyde was ready to go do his business. I prepared him with his bootie that bonnie designed out of yellow dish gloves, so his bandaged foot stays dry. I put my baby wipes in my pocket and off we went and had great results. Clyde practically ran back to the door, you have to be on your toes when he is ready to go. I felt so happy as did he too and i treated him to peanut butter in his marrow bone. He fell fast asleep after that until about 9:oo am.

Today i was to call pittsfield vets office to setup an Xray of the rod leg to see if one of the metal pieces have come loose. Dr. McCarthy thought this is why he is not putting pressure on that leg, since their is no drainage now and the leg looks awesome. As the Doc says it would be if we had a pebble in our shoe. I did notice that one of the pads was torn away, maybe because it was so dry he licked it off. I have treated it with Boudreau's Butt paste and put a sock over his paw so he will leave this alone. I can't say this is the reason, but he has been putting more wait on that leg, as he used to before. This morning at 8:oo Am their did not seem to be any problem bearing wait, so i have not put in the call as of yet. I will continue to monitor him as usual, and look forward to 2 more weeks before another exam and possibly shortening his rod. It is hard to believe but yesterday was one month from his surgery, WOW.
